Blog Update August 8

Today we headed out on our adventure to Nester One. After a fast-paced morning of packing and loading our stuff into the chopper, we finally got to Nester One at around 10am. I was the 3rd to last group to head out and when I got there people were already starting to set up tents. After everything was unloaded the new people got a tour of where we would be staying for the next week. There’s a kitchen and a bunk house/classroom building. The rest of the day was settling in and organizing our food and tents. For dinner we didn't really have a place to eat, so we made a make shift dinner table with bins and big flat planks. After dinner, some of us went swimming in a lake that was right near our camp. It was really cold and in my opinion, but Leo would disagree because he was the only one in the lake not shivering. Now that our first day at Nester One is over, we are excited to see what the next week has to hold for us.
